Low Carb Spinach and Beef Casserole

Nutmeg has a calming effect when consumed in smaller doses. Ancient medicinal practices credit it for its sleep inducing and de-stressing effects. You can add nutmeg to warm milk which will help induce sleep.

    : Prepare the Ingredients
    - Preheat your oven to 180°C.
    - Keep the meat out of the fridge 15 minutes before cooking.
    - Eggs: crack them into a bowl and beat them with the double cream, some cheddar cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg powder.

    Wash and dry the vegetables prior to chopping (as Required):
    - Spinach: just wash and dry
    - Red Onion: peel and dice
    - Garlic: peel and mince.
    : Bake the Casserole, Plate and Serve
    Heat some oil in a pan, lightly sauté the onion and garlic. Then add the ground beef and brown it.

    Lightly grease an oven proof dish. Then layer the browned, ground beef and the spinach. Pour the egg mixture on top. Cover with the remaining grated cheese. Bake in the oven for around 20-30 minutes. You can tell when the casserole is done by inserting a knife or a wooden skewer in the center and it comes out clean.

    Plate and Serve.
