: Prepare the Ingredients
Wash and dry the vegetables prior to chopping (as required):
- Red Onion: peel and cut into large dices
- Carrot: cut into large dices
- Potatoes: cut into large dices
- Celery: cut into large dices
- Button Mushrooms: cut into thick slices
- Flat leaf Parsley: chop. Keep aside for the garnish.

: Make the Stew, Plate and Serve
Heat a pot on medium heat and then add the salted butter. Sauté the beef cubes and brown on all sides. Then add the onions, carrots, celery, mushrooms and potato. Sauté for a few minutes. Add in the brown gravy provided and enough water to just about cover the lot. Check the seasoning. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 40 minutes.
Plate and Serve:
Transfer the stew to a bowl / deep plate, garnish with chopped parsley and serve with soft Baugette Bread.
