Burger and Coleslaw

The name Hamburger was derived from Hamburg steaks that were introduced to US by German immigrants. Most expensive burger ever sold was "FleurBurger5000". It was made of black truffles, fois gras and kobe beef.

    Utensils: Frying pan or grill | Bowl to mix the slaw |
    Pantry: Salt | Pepper | Your preferred cooking oil |
    : Prepare the Ingredients
    Wash and dry the vegetables before chopping (as required):
    - Red and white cabbage: shred them, cut them as finely as you can
    - Carrot: peel and then grate
    - Onion: peel and cut into round slices
    - Tomato: cut into round slices
    - Gherkins: Slice
    - Cheddar Cheese: Grate

    - Burger Buns: cut into half.
    : Grill the Beef Patty
    Heat a pan on medium heat and then add 1tbsp of oil. Place the beef patty on to the pan and cook on a medium flame for about 5 minutes and flip them over, place the cheese on top. Cook for another 6-8 minutes in covered pan. That traps the steam and helps melt the cheese.
    Once the patties are done, let them rest of 5 minutes before building your burger.
    : Finish, Plate and Serve
    Coleslaw:
    In a mixing bowl, combine; the carrots, cabbage and some of the coleslaw dressing. You just need enough dressing to lightly coat the coleslaw. Save some to spread on the buns. Check the seasoning.

    If you have the time and the inclination, lightly toast your burger buns on the pan.

    Build the burger, Plate and Serve::
    Place the buns on a plate, spread the coleslaw dressings on the buns, followed by onion, tomato, then grilled patty and the gherkins, close with the top bun. Serve with Coleslaw.
